I'll be a great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-grandpa (someday)

The 42-year-old English biogerontologist has made his name by claiming that some people alive right now could live for 1,000 years or longer. Maybe much longer.

This could make things interesting.

How could life be any better?

I must say that today was extraordinary. Emma was just talking and smiling up a storm, church was good, our house felt warm and had the smells for fresh apple crisp coming from the kitchen and was an inviting escape from the late October rain outside. Lew and Leonard stopped by in the afternoon and looked at the basement, they think I should use this concrete leveler from Puyallup that I have a quote from, as the price and his experience sounds good. Leonard was quite impressed with the amount of work we are taking on.

With Emma smiling so much, we decided to stage her and take some photos today - we ended up with more than 60. I'll try to upload them soon.

Flickr Photo

This photo is a couple of days old, but it shows how alert she is. Tonight she stayed up with Jo and I as we organized the upstairs, she laid on the little couch just as happy as a clam, sucking on her hand, getting all slobbery and kicking her feet. She puts her feet together like she's praying, I need to get a video of that...

An Oleson visit

Emma wouldn't let Steve work on his laptop at all this weekend - every time he sat down she would jump on him so she could sleep on his chest.

It sure was fun to have the Oleson clan around for the weekend. The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline and playing games. We miss them already.

And we wonder why our little girl is getting so BIG

- I think this answers it...

Emma is really starting to show her emotions, from frowns to smiles (still no real laughs) and even some vocalization. She loves it when you get close to here and talk with expressive mouth movements - she starts moving her mouth and sticking her tongue out right back at you - very cute.

Izzy Loves Goalie

We have been having a lot of fun going to Soccer games every Saturday. Izzy's favorite position is goalie and Tommy loves playing center midfield (so he can roam the entire field). Looks like we will have our first rainy game tomorrow since the first game of the season. Posted by Picasa
